Puppet theatre Akseli Klonk is a professional theatre company found in 1998 in Oulu, Finland. Akseli Klonk specializes in puppet- and object theatre plays for children and young people. The main purpose of the theatre is to provide a continuous program with wide and varying repertoire while upholding high artistic standard. Akseli Klonk is known for its choreographic and expressive plays, which offer carrots for all sizes of teeth to bite on, spiced with sweet doses of laughter.


Akseli Klonk's homestage is located in Oulu's Cultural Centre Valve. Akseli Klonk makes yearly a dozen cheerful plays, half of which are cheerful premieres. At summers Akseli Klonk performs in the Train theatre, located in Children's Speedpark in Oulu's Hietasaari. At 2007 Akseli Klonk performed 357 times, 79 of which were in collaboration with Theatre Airopik and 104 on tours.


”Klonk” can be invited anywhere to bring its joyful message. There are several plays translated to English language. Over the years, Akseli Klonk has visited Estonia, Sweden, France, Hungary, Romania, Russia, England and the USA.
